I began reading Waves of Deceit with a very critical eye. I must say though after a few pages, I was addicted. I started the book at a difficult time in my life and it was an excellent distraction. It consistently kept my interest. In fact Waves of Deceit retained my interest even after I put it down as I continued to think about the plot line and characters between chapters.
“Waves of Deceit” is an excellent display of a first novel. I think that Marlene will only grow in her abilities and will most definitely prove to be an exceptional writing force. She has pure raw talent and the unique capability to engage an audience. The character development and description is strong, so strong that the novel almost has a cinematic quality. I would definitely recommend “Waves of Deceit.” I can’t wait to read Marlene’s next creation!
